CASTA as a Bridge for International Science and Technology Cooperation
Amid increasingly deep international integration, science, technology, and innovation are becoming important drivers of sustainable socio-economic development. With its functions in research, application, and transfer of scientific and technological advances for local development, the Can Tho Center for Application of Scientific and Technological Advances (CASTA) has been affirming its role as an effective bridge between domestic and international science and technology organizations and enterprises, localities, and communities in the Mekong Delta.
Capacity for science and technology implementation and connection
As a public science and technology unit under the Can Tho Department of Science and Technology, CASTA has a team of experienced specialists in applied research, technology transfer, and the implementation of experimental models serving production and daily life.
Over the years, the Center has built and operated laboratories, technology demonstration areas, and application models in high-tech agriculture, biotechnology, environmental technology, renewable energy, digital transformation, and innovation. This is an important foundation that enables CASTA to receive, master, and effectively transfer advanced technologies from domestic and international partners.

In addition to professional capacity, the Center serves as a focal point connecting research institutes, universities, international organizations, enterprises, and state management agencies to promote the commercialization of research results and bring new technologies into production practice.
Promoting technology transfer and international cooperation
In recent years, CASTA has continuously expanded its cooperation network with international organizations, enterprises, and experts in many fields with application potential in the Mekong Delta.
Through scientific workshops, technology forums, technology supply-demand connection programs, and international cooperation projects, the Center has created opportunities for advanced technologies to be introduced, tested, and gradually implemented locally.
In particular, its participation in promoting international cooperation on green technology applications in Mekong Delta waterway transport further affirms CASTA's role in connecting global science and technology resources to address the region's development challenges.

Toward becoming a technology connection center for the Mekong Delta
In the coming period, CASTA will continue promoting its role as a focal point for connecting, receiving, and spreading advanced scientific and technological progress from Vietnam and abroad. The Center will focus on expanding cooperation with research organizations, technology enterprises, and international partners to promote the transfer of innovative solutions serving green economy development, circular economy development, and digital transformation.
With a practical application-centered orientation, CASTA expects to remain a trusted bridge between science and technology and local development, contributing to building Can Tho City into the science and technology center of the Mekong Delta in the new period.
